General advice

Avoid water for the first few hours - avoid immersing your nails in water or exposing them to excessive moisture for the first few hours after your manicure and/or pedicure. Moisturise regularly - keep your nails and cuticles hydrated by applying cuticle oil and moisturising creams daily. This helps prevent dryness and keeps your nails flexible and healthy. Wear gloves for household chores - protect your manicure by wearing gloves when doing household chores such as washing dishes or cleaning with harsh chemicals. This helps prevent the products from lifting or chipping prematurely. Avoid nail biting or picking - resist the urge to bite or pick at your gel/biab manicure and/or pedicure, as this can damage the polish and weaken your nails. If you notice any lifting or peeling, book in for a repair. Be gentle with your nails - treat your manicure and/or pedicure with care to extend its longevity. Avoid using your nails to scrape off stickers or perform other abrasive tasks that could cause damage your nails. Schedule regular appointments - depending on the growth of your natural nails and the condition of your gel/biab, you may need to schedule regular maintenance appointments every 2-3 weeks.
