Tips for maintaining your manicure:
- OIL YOUR CUTICLES
Cuticle oil keeps cuticles looking and feeling healthy. It hydrates, nourishes and locks in moisture whilst keeping your nails hydrated. Massage the oil in twice daily, and it will improve blood flow, which result in longer, stronger nails.
- WEAR GLOVES
You should always wear gloves when doing the dishes, housework, gardening and using any products or chemicals. Gloves will help protect your manicure from accidental chips and chemical damage.
- DO NOT PICK!
Do not ruin them by picking them, continuous picking could cause lifting, damage your nail plate and your next set won’t last that long.
- DON’T USE YOUR NAILS AS TOOLS
It’s easy to forget, but please do not use them as tools. For such things as picking parcel tape and packaging, prising things open like drink cans! The list is endless, it won’t do any favours for your nails.
- BOOK REGULAR APPOINTMENTS
Pre-booking regular appointments is so important. I recommend booking an infill every 3-4 weeks, to ensure strength is maintained. As your nails grow out, the apex (strength point) grows out, and leaving it longer than 4 weeks could cause damage.
