Cool it down: You may feel heat or mild sunburn-like sensations. Use a clean cold compress (wrapped in a cloth) to soothe the area for 10-minute intervals if needed. No touching or rubbing: Keep the area clean and avoid any unnecessary contact. Avoid creams or ointments right away unless advised by your technician. Cover with a non-stick sterile dressing if needed for comfort or clothing friction.
No hot water: Gently clean the area with cool or lukewarm water if needed — avoid soaps, lotions, or any skincare products unless directed. Let it breathe: If no dressing is required, leave the area uncovered to help the skin settle. Swelling and redness are normal — some light blistering or scabbing can happen and is part of the healing process.
Keep the area clean and dry — use mild, fragrance-free soap if washing. Pat dry with a clean towel. No scratching or picking: This can lead to scarring or infection. Apply a healing ointment like aloe vera gel or a product provided by us, 2–3 times daily to keep the skin hydrated and soothed. Loose clothing only: Tight clothes can rub and irritate the area. Avoid sweating: No heavy exercise, steam rooms, or saunas — keep the area dry and cool.
Scabs or blisters may flake off — let this happen naturally. Don’t force them off. Avoid sun exposure: Keep the area covered or use SPF 50+ once the skin is fully healed. Still no soaking: No swimming, baths, or soaking the area in water. Showers are fine.
Skin may still be slightly sensitive. Moisturise daily and wear SPF if the area is exposed. Let your skin fully heal before your next session — this can be 6–8 weeks depending on your skin and treatment plan. Stay hydrated and healthy — good immune function helps flush pigment naturally.
Some redness and tenderness is expected — but contact us or a healthcare professional if you notice: Excessive swelling or warmth Pus or foul smell Fever or chills
