BIAB / Gel / Gel Extensions.
You can read further into what that means on ‘What Base Shall I Choose?’ in the main menu.
How long will my nails last? When the correct after care is followed (so no picking!) then your new nails can last 3-4 weeks. You may be able to get a longer wear but it is recommended to never exceed more than half your nail in growth, as this can add pressure to the weakest part of your nail & cause damage.
Do you accept walk-ins?I now work from an appointment only studio. You’re able to book in with an hours notice if there is an available slot.
What nail products do you use?I take pride in using high quality gel brands, so my go to's are The Gel Bottle, Après Extensions, Sissi & Navy & Nibovi tools.
Are they Vegan?Yes, all of our products are Vegan and Cruelty free.
How do you clean your tools and workspace?- I use a new technology Nibovi Sonic Cleaner to properly disinfect and sanitise my tools, which has been scientifically proven to remove any nasties that could be there.
- Files and buffers are brand new for each client & disposed of at the end of the appointment.
- All work surfaces are disinfected & cleaned between each client.
- The studio is hoovered & mopped every evening to minimise dust build up, I also work with the window open and an air purifier permanently switched on to keep the air fresh & clean.
Can I hire you for a pop up or PR event?Yes, I love doing pop ups, drop me an email to discuss details and rates.
Couple things to note…
Before your appointment- Have a rough idea of the gems you’ll want and the placement. I’ll suggest an alternative if I’m unable to do it based on your bite type and anatomy.
- Gems can’t be placed on Veneers or Composite Bonding, only natural teeth, so keep this in mind.
- You won’t be able to eat for 2 hours after your appointment, so make sure you’ve had some food before coming in. Drinking, smoking and kissing is fine to do immediately after though.
- It’s best to brush your teeth before getting your gems on as you won’t be able to brush them for 12 hours. (There’s a restroom if you want to do it just before)
During your appointment- The service itself isn’t very long, but the consultation before can be, so have a few ideas ready.
- Applying tooth gems is pain free. You will be aware they’re there for the first few days, but you’ll soon become accustomed to them.
After your appointment- I will be taking photos of your stunning new gems at the end of your appointment, so bring a touch up of make up if you want.
- There’s some key aftercare rituals you’ll need to follow. I’ll send you a follow up aftercare email so you’ll have it to refer back to.
- No eating for 2 hours, then try to have only soft foods for the following 12 hours (pasta, rice, jelly etc)
- Avoid hard foods, think apples, corn on the cobs, for as long as you want the gems to last.
- If you want to remove your gems, you can go to your dentist and get a scale and polish.
- Gems can last anywhere between 1 month - a year +
How do you clean your tools?- I have one use disposables for Tooth Gems that are stored in a sealed container & disposed of at the end of the appointment.
- I don’t use any tools that can’t be correctly disinfected, this means no mouth guards or gem craft pens are in sight!
- All work surfaces are disinfected & cleaned between each client using Dentist grade Caviwipes. This includes any non disposables for Tooth Gems to avoid any potential cross contamination.
- The studio is hoovered & mopped every evening to minimise dust build up, I also work with the window open and an air purifier permanently switched on to keep the air fresh & clean.
