Frequently Asked Questions đź’–
💕 What if I’m nervous or it’s my first time?
Don’t worry—it’s completely normal! 💕
I’ll explain everything as we go, answer any questions you have, and make sure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout your appointment. There is absolutely no judgement here!
đź’• Is waxing painful?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients are surprised by how manageable it is! One of the things I hear all the time is, “That was the quickest, easiest and most comfortable wax I’ve ever had!” 💖
đź’• Do you do Hollywood waxes?
Yes! I combine Brazilian and Hollywood into one service. By default, everything is removed, but if you’d prefer to leave a landing strip or triangle, just let me know! ✨
đź’• Is the full butt included?
The Brazilian includes the butt strip only. If you’d like the full butt waxed as well, you can either add it on when booking or let me know at your appointment. 💖
💕 Can I wax if I’m pregnant or plus size?
Absolutely! đź’–
The positioning may be slightly different depending on your bump or what feels comfortable for you, but don’t worry—I’ll guide you through everything.
đź’• Can I wax during my period?
Of course! I just ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment. I also keep tampons at the studio if you need one. đź’–
Just bear in mind that your skin is often a little more sensitive around your period, so it may feel a bit more uncomfortable than usual.
đź’• What if I have sensitive skin?
That’s absolutely fine! I actually have really sensitive skin myself, which is one of the reasons I chose to specialise in hard wax. I’ll always adjust where needed and recommend the best aftercare for your skin. 💖
đź’• How long does my hair need to be?
Your hair should be around the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch). This is usually at least 3 weeks after shaving or 4 weeks after your last wax so the wax can grip the hair properly and give you the best results! ✨
đź’• What should I avoid before my appointment?
Avoid tanning, sunbeds, self-tan and active skincare on the area for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Don’t forget to exfoliate 2–3 days before your wax rather than on the day! ✨
đź’• What should I wear to my appointment?
Whatever you’re most comfortable in! After your appointment, I’d recommend wearing loose, breathable underwear and clothing if possible to help minimise friction while your skin settles. ✨
đź’• How often should I wax?
Most clients book every 4–6 weeks. Keeping to a regular schedule usually means better results, more consistent hair growth and a more comfortable wax over time! ✨
đź’• Can I shave between appointments?
I don’t recommend it where possible. Shaving can disrupt your hair growth cycle, whereas regular waxing helps you get the best long-term results. 💖
đź’• What should I avoid after my wax?
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid hot baths, swimming, heavy sweating, tight clothing, perfumed products and intercourse.
You’ll find my full aftercare guide on the Aftercare page! 💖
đź’• Will I get ingrown hairs?
Ingrown hairs can happen to anyone, and some people are naturally more prone to them than others. đź’–
The good news is that following a good aftercare routine, exfoliating consistently and keeping your skin moisturised can make a huge difference. If you’re not sure what products to use, I’m always happy to recommend the products I use and stock in the studio! ✨
đź’• Is waxing hygienic?
Absolutely! Hygiene is one of my biggest priorities. I use hard wax only, I never double dip, all my tools are thoroughly sanitised between every client, and every appointment is carried out using strict hygiene standards. đź’–
đź’• Still have questions?
If there’s anything you’re unsure about before booking, just send me a message! I’m always more than happy to help. 🤍
