Update Your GBP With Holiday Hours

Objective

Make sure clients can see your holiday hours at a glance and know exactly when to book before your break.

1. Update your special holiday hours

In your Google Business dashboard:

  • Go to Hours → Add special hours

  • Enter your Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day hours

  • Double-check your January hours resume correctly after the break

This ensures clients see accurate hours directly in Google Search and Maps.

2. Upload your holiday graphic

Go to Add Update and upload your festive holiday hours image.
Make sure the text is readable and visually clear.

3. Write your caption

Keep it short, clear, and focused on encouraging clients to book before you close.

Examples:

  • “My holiday hours are now live. Book your appointment before I close for Christmas.”

  • “Closed from Dec __ to Jan __. Final festive appointments available — book now.”

  • “Holiday schedule updated. Secure your Christmas or early January slot via my booking link.”

4. Add your booking link

Include your Solo booking URL so clients can book immediately.
Place it directly in the post for maximum visibility.

5. Publish your update

This will appear on your Google Business Profile for anyone searching for your services — helping reduce confusion about when you’re open.
