What is ISR?

Inkless Stretch Mark & Scars Revision (ISR) is an advanced paramedical treatment designed specifically to work with the structure of stretch marks and scars - not just the surface, but the skin beneath.

The technique

ISR uses a precision rotary machine to work directly at the dermal level, where scars and stretch marks actually form. Stretch marks occur when the dermis - the deeper, structural layer of skin - is stretched beyond its elasticity, tearing collagen and elastin fibres. This is why creams and surface treatments alone rarely make a visible difference: they never reach the layer where the damage lives.

By working precisely at this dermal depth, ISR creates controlled micro-channels that stimulate the skin’s own repair response- encouraging new collagen and elastin production exactly where the original fibres broke down.

The serum

Immediately following treatment, an advanced medical-grade serum containing EGF (epidermal growth factor), FGF (fibroblast growth factor), peptides, and hyaluronic acid is applied. These actives are delivered directly into the dermal channels created during treatment, giving the skin the specific signals and building blocks it needs to repair and regenerate - rather than relying on the skin to do this work unsupported.

The effect

Over a course of sessions, clients typically see:

• Softened, smoother texture where marks were once raised or indented

• Improved tone, with reduced contrast between the stretch mark and surrounding skin

• Gradual thickening and strengthening of the affected skin over time

• Results that build progressively - this is a course of treatment, not a single session

Why it’s different

ISR is a dedicated technique - not a generic skin treatment applied to a new problem. It requires precision, an understanding of dermal anatomy, and a considered approach to how many sessions, how much depth, and how much time between treatments a particular case needs.

What can it treat?

ISR is used to revise:

• Stretch marks - including pregnancy, growth spurt, weight change, and bodybuilding-related marks

• Atrophic scars - including surgical scars, C-section scars, and injury-related scarring

• Hypertrophic (assessed case by case)

What to expect:

• A thorough consultation before any treatment

• Multiple sessions are typically required - - usually 3 to 6, spaced 8 to 12 weeks apart

• Some redness and darkening of the treated area is normal in the days following treatment - this is part of the healing response, not a setback

• Results are gradual and progressive, not instant - this is real tissue change, not surface coverage

• Downtime is minimal; most clients resume normal activities within 2-48 hours

ISR doesn't erase. It revises.

The goal is for your stretch marks or scars to become less visible, less raised or indented, and closer in texture and tone to the surrounding skin. For many clients, the change is significant. For some areas and skin types, the improvement is more subtle.

Results Brows may appear darker immediately after treatment, this is completely normal. As healing progresses, the colour softens and settles into a natural finish within 4-6 weeks. Results typically last 1-3 years, with a touch-up recommended to maintain shape and colour.

Policy

To ensure the best possible results, a complimentary consultation is required prior to all PMU appointments and can be booked through our website. A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. We kindly ask for at least 72 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations or changes made within this time will incur a fee of 50% of the service cost. Appointments cancelled or amended within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the full service fee being charged. Please note that all payments are non-refundable.
