Do I need a skin test?
Yes — all colour clients need a skin test at least 48 hours before their appointment.
If you’re new to colour with me (or it’s been 6+ months), please book a consultation so we can arrange this.
Do you offer colour for under 18s?
No — all colour services are strictly 18+. This is a safety and insurance requirement, so I’m unable to make exceptions.
I’m not sure which package to book — what should I do?
If you’re unsure, just book a consultation.
All new colour clients need one anyway, and it gives us time to look at your hair, talk through your ideas, and choose the right session together.
How should my curls be prepped for a curl cut?
Please arrive with your curls:
Dry
Detangled
In their natural pattern
No heavy product, cast, or slicked-back styles
If curls aren’t prepped properly, it can affect the service — we may need extra time/cost, or occasionally rebook.
What finish is included with colour?
A smooth finish is included with all colour packages.
If you’d prefer your curls diffused, just let me know — curl drying takes longer, so the appointment length and price may adjust slightly.
Can I bring someone with me?
Unfortunately, no.
I work 1-to-1 and the space is calm and compact.
There’s a café nearby if someone is waiting for you.
Do you offer highlights?
Yes — but not in the traditional “full head / half head” way.
I use modern, tailored lightening techniques chosen for your hair and your goals.

Do you offer corrective colour?
Yes — but this always starts with a consultation so we can make a safe, realistic plan together.
Where are you based?
I work inside Utopia Hair on the Fylde Coast in a calm 1-to-1 space.

Do you take cash?
Yes — but card details still need to be saved when booking for cancellation protection.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please give 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged according to the policy shown at booking.
Do you offer walk-ins?
No — all appointments are online-only so I can keep everything calm and unrushed.
Do you take photos of clients?
Only with permission.
If you’d rather not be photographed, just let me know on the day.
Why do you use packages instead of traditional service names?
Because every head of hair is different, and packages make things simpler.
You tell me your overall goal, and I choose the techniques that will get us there — no guesswork or jargon.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Not at the moment.
