General Advice

First 24 hours: Reduce your exposure to heat and avoid soaking your hands/feet in water, e.g. by taking a hot bath/sauna or washing your hair. After 24 hours: Moisturise and apply Cuticle Oil twice daily - when you wake up and before bed is ideal. Wear gloves for household chores, e.g. washing up, gardening etc. or applying fake tan/hair dye. Be cautious when using sun lotion, insect repellent or strong chemicals. If in doubt, pop on some gloves. Please remember, your nails are not tools, and avoid using your nails to open cans/pick labels. Finally, remember to book your nail appointments every 2-3 weeks and always get your gel polish professionally removed. Do not pick your gels off, as this will likely cause damage to your natural nails and impact the longevity of future sets.

Top Tips: Chips, Lifting or Nail Breaks

If you experience lifting between appointments, here are my top tips. Within 48 hrs of Your Manicure: Contact me ASAP, and I will do my best to get you booked back in for a free fix. After 48 hrs of Your Manicure: Please use a nail file to gently smooth any rough edges where the gel has lifted, and apply cuticle oil to keep the nail hydrated. Make sure you do not pick the gel off, as this will cause lasting damage to your natural nails - making them prone to breaks, splits and lifting in the future. Be your future friend!
