Washing & Drying
- Wait 48 hours before washing your hair after installation.
- Always brush thoroughly before washing to remove tangles.
- Use sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo and conditioner. Avoid products containing alcohol, keratin, or protein, as these can dry out extensions.
- Gently massage the scalp and roots — do not rub or twist the hair.
- Rinse thoroughly and apply conditioner from mid-length to ends only.
- Pat dry with a towel — never rub.
- Always blow-dry your roots after washing to prevent moisture from sitting on the bonds or tapes. Let the mid-lengths and ends air dry if preferred.
Brushing
- Use a soft bristle or extension brush (loop brush or detangling brush).
- Hold your hair at the roots and brush from ends to top, working upward gently.
- Brush your hair at least twice daily to prevent tangling and matting.
- Be extra gentle when brushing around the bonds or tapes.
Sleeping
- Always tie your hair in a loose braid or ponytail before bed.
- Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and tangling.
- Never go to bed with wet or damp hair — always dry it first.
Styling
- Use a heat protectant spray before using styling tools.
- Avoid applying direct heat to the bonds, tapes, or wefts.
- Keep heat tools below 180°C (350°F).
- Avoid heavy oils or conditioners near the roots — apply styling products only from mid-length to ends.
Swimming & Holidays
- Before swimming, coat hair in conditioner and tie your hair up in a braid or bun to prevent tangling.
- Avoid salt water and chlorine when possible — both can dry and damage extensions.
- If you do swim, rinse your hair immediately after and apply a hydrating mask.
- Protect your hair from the sun with a UV spray or hat.
Maintenance & Removal
- Regular maintenance appointments are essential every 6–8 weeks to check bonds, tapes, and overall condition.
- Never attempt to remove extensions yourself — always book a professional removal.
- Following proper care will extend the life of your extensions and protect your natural hair.
Remember
Your extensions are an investment! With the right care and maintenance, they will stay soft, silky, and beautiful for months.
