Student Terms & Conditions

By booking a course with The Gel Art Academy, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking & Payment
A course place is confirmed once the required deposit, first instalment or full course payment has been received.
Where a payment plan has been agreed, all instalments remain payable on their agreed due dates. If a payment becomes overdue we reserve the right to pause further training, assessments, certification or access to course materials until the account is brought up to date.
Course places are reserved specifically for the named student and cannot be transferred without prior agreement.
2. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand that circumstances can change and ask students to contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or withdraw from a course.
Any cancellation or refund will be considered in accordance with applicable UK consumer law and the circumstances of the individual booking.
Once training has commenced, a full refund will not normally be available, as training, resources, materials and tutor time will already have been provided. Where appropriate, a partial refund may be considered for the undelivered portion of the course, taking into account the training already completed and any reasonable costs already incurred by The Gel Art Academy.
The amount of any partial refund will therefore depend on the stage reached within the course and the services already provided. There is no automatic entitlement to a fixed percentage refund.
Where a kit or other materials have been specially ordered or prepared for a student, any reasonable non-refundable costs incurred may also be taken into account.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
3. Rescheduling & Attendance
Students are expected to attend their scheduled training dates and arrive on time.
If you are unable to attend, please provide as much notice as possible. We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests to reschedule, subject to availability.
Repeated non-attendance, failure to communicate or leaving a course without contacting us may result in the course being considered abandoned.
4. Course Completion & Certification
Students are responsible for completing all required training, practical work and assessments.
Completion of a course does not automatically guarantee certification where the required standard has not been met. Additional practice or assessment may be required before certification is issued.
Any outstanding course fees must be paid before certification is released.
5. Student Conduct & Safety
Students must follow all health, safety, hygiene and treatment procedures taught during their course and must use products and equipment responsibly.
We expect all students, models and trainers to be treated with respect. Abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in training being terminated.
6. Course Materials & Intellectual Property
All course manuals, resources, photographs, videos, demonstrations and other training materials remain the intellectual property of The Gel Art Academy or the relevant rights holder.
Materials are provided for the student’s personal educational use and must not be copied, reproduced, shared, resold, published or used to create or deliver training without prior written permission.
7. Course Changes
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver courses as advertised. In exceptional circumstances, a training date, trainer, venue, product or course element may need to change. Where this occurs, we will provide reasonable notice and an appropriate alternative wherever possible.
8. Liability & Insurance
Training is provided with reasonable care and skill. Students are responsible for following the guidance provided and for ensuring they have appropriate professional insurance before carrying out treatments on clients.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability or statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about your training, please contact The Gel Art Academy as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to investigate and resolve it fairly.
10. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions form part of the agreement between you and The Gel Art Academy and apply to all nail and beauty training bookings unless otherwise agreed in writing.
