Aftercare
To help prolong the benefits of your treatment, consider the following:
- For best results, regular treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks. Consistent sessions will encourage deep and regular relaxation, scalp and hair health, and ongoing nervous system regulation.
- If possible, spend a few hours in a lower-stimulation environment. Reducing excessive noise, screen time, and constant multitasking can help maintain the sense of calm created during your session.
- Stay hydrated throughout the day.
- Move at a slower pace where possible and allow yourself time to ease back into your usual routine.
- Many clients report feeling sleepy, deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, or mentally quieter after treatment. This is a normal response.
Following Hair Play & Scalp Treatments
- Scalp stimulation may help distribute your hair's natural oils from root to tip, which can leave hair feeling softer, smoother, or shinier over the following 24 hours.
- Try to avoid excessive touching, brushing, or styling immediately afterwards to allow your hair and scalp to settle.
- If scalp oils have been used during your treatment, leave them in for as long as comfortable before washing for maximum benefit.
Following Sensory Touch, ASMR Massage & Head Spa Treatments
- Some clients notice a lasting sense of calm, relaxation, improved sleep, or a quieter mind following their session.
- Occasionally, clients experience an emotional release during or after treatment. This may present as tearfulness, feeling reflective, or a sense of emotional lightness. This is a normal response and nothing to be concerned about.
- Gentle activities such as reading, walking, journalling, spending time in nature, or listening to calming music can help extend the benefits of the treatment.
Supporting Your Wellbeing Between Sessions
To help maintain the benefits of your treatment:
• Prioritise rest where possible.
• Stay hydrated.
• Spend time in calming, low-stimulation environments when needed.
- Slowing down and moving with more intention and avoid rushing.
• Take regular moments throughout the day to slow your breathing and reduce rushing.
• Gentle activities such as walking, stretching, reading, or spending time in nature may help support relaxation and nervous system balance.
Many clients find that regular monthly treatments help them maintain these benefits and create dedicated time for self-care and relaxation.
A Gentle Reminder
Your treatment doesn't necessarily end when you leave the room. Giving yourself permission to slow down afterwards can often help you get the most from your experience.
