Appointment Timings

Please note that the timings per service are a rough guide and may take longer or shorter times depending on the client's nails.

I aim for a stress free and unrushed service, please ensure you don't have anything urgent to attend to afterwards as this may affect your relaxation experience.


Appointment Attendance

Clients are responsible for attending their scheduled nail care appointments on time with Alex at The Nail Palette, Market Harborough. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please advise Alex as soon as possible to avoid a no show cancellation fee.

By booking an appointment with Alex at The Nail Palette, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these booking terms and conditions.


Lateness

If you are running over 15 minutes late with no contact to advise an estimated time of arrival and therefore your appointment is a no show, your appointment will be cancelled and a cancellation fee of £40 less your deposit will be payable. A link for payment of this fee will be sent to you via email, text or WhatsApp. No further bookings with Alex at The Nail Palette will be accepted until the fee is paid.

If a late arrival time is advised, it is up to the discretion of Alex at The Nail Palette on whether to go ahead or cancel your appointment with forfeiture of your deposit as this will depend on the next client’s booking time.

Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of Alex at The Nail Palette under special circumstances.

By booking an appointment with Alex at The Nail Palette, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these booking terms and conditions.


Rescheduling Your Appointment

If you need to reschedule your appointment, I kindly request at least 48 hours notice before the scheduled appointment time.

Clients may request to reschedule their appointment with at least 24 hours notice without forfeiture of their deposit.

Late rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours notice, but that can be accommodated in the next week, will not incur a fee, however this is subject to availability.

Late rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours notice, but which cannot be accommodated in the next week, may result in forfeiture of deposit. This will be at the discretion of Alex at The Nail Palette.

It is essential to communicate any changes in your availability promptly. This helps me to manage my schedule effectively and accommodate other clients.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit of £15.00 is required for new clients and £5 for existing clients to secure your appointment slot. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of any nail services. Deposits are forfeited in the event of a late cancellation or no-show, as per the terms outlined in this policy.

If you are running over 15 minutes late with no contact to advise an estimated time of arrival, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

If an arrival time is advised, it is up to the discretion of Alex at The Nail Palette on whether to go ahead, or cancel your appointment with forfeiture of your deposit, as this will depend on the next client’s booking time.

If you need to cancel your appointment, I kindly request at least 48 hours notice before the scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be subject to a flat rate cancellation fee of £15.00.

The cancellation fee must be paid before rescheduling a new appointment and will be taken from any deposit monies already received.

In case of unforeseen emergencies, I understand that cancellations may be unavoidable. Please contact me as soon as possible, and I will work with you to find a suitable solution.

Risks of Minor Cuts during Manicure/Pedicure

Minor cuts: All equipment used here is sterilised or single use. However, there is a very small risk of receiving a small cut/infection during any manicure or pedicure due to the instruments used. If you suffer any pain, discomfort or signs of infection*, please let Alex at The Nail Palette know as soon as possible for advice. Treatment can include a warm water soak, application of Vaseline and a clean dressing. These steps will aid healing and help to prevent infection.
Please note, I do not perform Russian Manicures here which includes lifting of the proximal nail fold and total cuticle removal.

*Signs of infection to look out for include redness, swelling, pain or pus.


Toilet Facilities

Please note that the toilet available for client use, is upstairs in the main house.

Age Restriction

Please note that due to my insurance policy, I am unable to carry out any nail services on under 16 year olds attending alone. This includes standard polish.

However, I am happy to do nail services on under 16 year olds if a parent/guardian is present and written consent is provided after a full discussion about risks and benefits.
