Aesthetic Treatment FAQs
Do injectable treatments hurt?
Most clients describe mild discomfort rather than pain. Numbing agents are used where appropriate, and treatments are delivered slowly and precisely to minimise discomfort.
Do I require a patch test for dissolver or polynucleotides?
Yes. A patch test is required prior to treatment with dermal filler dissolver (hyaluronidase) and certain polynucleotide products.
This is to assess for potential hypersensitivity and ensure treatment suitability. Patch testing must be completed at least 24–48 hours before your scheduled appointment unless otherwise clinically advised.
Treatment will not proceed without confirmed patch test clearance where required.
Your safety and risk management are prioritised at all times.
Will I look overdone or unnatural?
No. My philosophy centres on subtle, refined enhancement. Treatments are designed to harmonise facial structure while maintaining natural expression. You will never be over-treated.
How long does swelling or bruising last?
Mild swelling is common and typically settles within a few days. Bruising, if it occurs, usually resolves within 5–10 days. Aftercare guidance is provided to support optimal healing.
How long do results last?
Longevity varies depending on metabolism, health, lifestyle, medical diagnosis (after treatment) and treatment area.
Neuromodulators typically last 3–4 months.
Dermal fillers may last 6–18 months.
Skin boosters and regenerative treatments vary individually.
Is it safe?
All treatments are consultation-led and medically assessed. Prescription-only treatments require independent prescriber approval. Sterile protocols and regulated products are used at all times.
Your safety is prioritised above trends.
What brands do you use?
Only clinically approved, regulated products are used. Brand selection varies depending on facial anatomy, skin integrity, and treatment goals.
Will I need a review appointment?
Neuromodulator treatments include a complimentary review at 2 weeks to assess the outcome and make minor refinements if clinically indicated.
It is the client’s responsibility to schedule this review within the 2-week timeframe. Reviews requested outside of this period will incur an additional charge, as results will be considered outside the initial treatment window.
When scheduling your review, please ensure you select the correct Review Appointment option within the booking system. If an incorrect service is selected, this will be amended by the administration team to the appropriate treatment category.
Can I have treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Injectable and advanced aesthetic treatments are not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding as a precautionary measure.
What if I am new to aesthetics?
A consultation can be booked prior to treatment to discuss suitability, expectations, and goals. There is never pressure to proceed.
Beauty & Skin Treatment FAQs
Do beauty treatments hurt?
Most treatments are comfortable and relaxing. Some advanced skin treatments may cause mild temporary sensitivity, which resolves quickly.
Is there any downtime?
Most beauty treatments involve minimal downtime. You may experience temporary redness or mild sensitivity depending on the treatment. Aftercare guidance will be provided.
Do I need a patch test?
Patch testing may be required for certain skin, lash, or brow treatments. This will be advised at the time of booking.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Treatment selection is guided by skin condition, anatomy, lifestyle, and long-term goals — not trends. Recommendations are bespoke and ethically delivered.
What if I have ADHD or feel anxious?
Appointments are calm, structured, and unrushed. Each stage is clearly explained so you feel informed, reassured, and always in control.
Can I bring my child to my appointment?
For safety and insurance reasons, children are not permitted unless receiving treatment themselves.
What if I am unwell before my appointment?
If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, infection, active skin conditions, contagious illness, or feel generally unwell, your appointment must be rescheduled.
Injectable and advanced aesthetic treatments will not be carried out if you are acutely unwell. Illness can compromise healing, immune response, and overall treatment safety.
It is your responsibility to notify the clinic as soon as possible if you are unwell. Appointments cancelled due to illness remain subject to the clinic cancellation policy and notice periods.
Treatment will only proceed once you have fully recovered and are medically suitable.
Your health and clinical safety are prioritised at all times.
What should I avoid before my appointment?
For certain treatments, avoid active skincare ingredients (such as retinol) and follow pre-treatment guidance provided at booking.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please refer to the Booking & Clinic Policy page for full cancellation terms. Notice periods apply and deposits are non-refundable.
