To ensure your safety and achieve the best results, please read and follow these pre-treatment instructions carefully before your appointment. These guidelines apply to laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and skin therapies.
Attendance Policy
All appointments must be attended alone. Please do not bring friends, family, or children to your session. This ensures a safe, private, and professional environment.
General Pre-Treatment Guidelines
Medical History: Inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or recent skin treatments. Certain conditions or medications may affect your suitability for treatment.
Avoid Certain Medications: If you are taking blood thinners, retinoids, or other medications that may affect your skin or healing, inform your practitioner before your appointment.
Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for at least 4 weeks before treatment. This helps reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation or skin damage.
No Self-Tanning: Do not use self-tanning products for at least one week before your session and ensure all fake tan is thoroughly removed before your session.
Shaving for Laser Hair Removal: Shave the treatment area no less than 24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, pluck, or use hair removal creams, as the hair follicle needs to be intact for effective treatment.
Avoid Exfoliation: Do not exfoliate, use scrubs, or apply strong acids to the treatment area 48 hours prior to treatment.
Skin Preparation
Clean Skin: Arrive with clean skin. Avoid applying makeup, moisturisers, lotions, deodorants, or perfumes to the treatment area.
Tattoo Removal: Ensure the tattoo is free from creams or oils. Do not apply heavy moisturisers on the day of treatment. If the tattoo is in an area with hair please shave the area before your appointment.
Clothing and Comfort
Wear loose, comfortable clothing over the treatment area to minimise friction and allow easy access.
Avoid tight or restrictive clothing that may irritate the skin immediately before or after treatment.
Health and Safety
If you feel unwell, have a skin infection, rash, or sunburn in the area to be treated, please reschedule your appointment.
Avoid alcohol or excessive caffeine prior to treatment, as they may increase skin sensitivity.
Tattoo Removal Specific
Avoid any chemical peels, laser treatments, or skin resurfacing on the tattooed area in the two weeks before your appointment.
Laser Hair Removal Specific
Do not wax, pluck, or use hair removal creams on the treatment area for at least 4 weeks before your appointment.
Shave the area 24 hours before your session to allow the laser to target the hair follicle effectively.
Skin Therapies Specific
Avoid strong exfoliants, acids, retinol, or microdermabrasion treatments in the area to be treated for at least 48 hours prior to your session.
