Setting Goals in 2025

The team and I are beyond excited about what we’ve got planned for you this year to help take your business to the next level: education courses, desktop mode (launching in late February!), and of course, continuing to improve the features you’ve voted on via Frill.
How to Do What You Love this Year
Happy New Year! I hope you had a well-deserved break after all the Christmas hustle and bustle.
The team and I are beyond excited about what we’ve got planned for you this year to help take your business to the next level: education courses, desktop mode (launching in late February!), and of course, continuing to improve the features you’ve voted on via Frill.
How to set goals:
To kick off the year, I wanted to share something a little different: the goal-setting framework that each member of our team at Solo uses to plan our year.
It’s not the usual focus on more money, more possessions, more status. While these things matter, our belief is that if you focus on becoming internally motivated, everything else naturally falls into place.
Our approach aims to answer two key questions: How do I wake up every morning excited to go to work? How do I ensure I’m doing what I love every day?
5 factors to make sure you are doing what you love:
Turns out making sure you love what you do can be broken down to these 5 questions:
1. Autonomy: Do you feel in control of actions and decisions?
2. Mastery: Do you feel like you are personally growing?
3. Purpose: Do your actions align with a larger purpose?
4. Curiosity: Do you feel curious to learn?
5. Autotelicity: Do you love the activities you do while working?
By making sure you are setting goals that improve on all these topics, you’ll feel excited to go to work everyday….and from there the external rewards will follow (money, possessions, status).
