At Harmony & Heal, lymphatic drainage massage is offered as a gentle, slow-paced treatment designed to help you relax, unwind and feel good in your body.
I’ve completed training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, but I’m not a specialist practitioner in lymphoedema or other lymphatic conditions, and I don’t claim to treat or manage medical conditions.
My approach is focused on wellbeing rather than aesthetics. You won’t be promised a “detox”, dramatic inch loss or a sculpted body. Instead, expect light, rhythmic movements, a calming environment and time to properly switch off.
I’m always honest about what I can and can’t offer, and if your needs fall outside my training or scope of practice, I’ll tell you.
Lymphatic drainage massage is not a treatment or cure for hormonal conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS or PMDD, and I do not claim to treat or manage these conditions.
However, some clients with hormonal conditions choose to have lymphatic drainage massage as part of their wider self-care routine. Because the technique is very gentle and deeply relaxing, it may help some people feel more comfortable in their body, support relaxation, and provide a calming space during times when symptoms feel more challenging.
Every person is different, and responses can vary. If you have a diagnosed hormonal condition, it’s important to continue following the guidance of your GP or specialist, and to check with them before booking if you are unsure whether massage is appropriate for you.
At Harmony & Heal, my focus is always on supporting relaxation, comfort and wellbeing, not on treating or managing medical conditions.
Abdominal massage is always included as part of my lymphatic drainage treatment, and some people find it helps them feel more comfortable when they’re feeling bloated.
Exactly why this may happen isn’t clear. It could be related to the gentle physical movements of abdominal massage, or it may be connected to the calming effect the treatment has on the nervous system, which plays an important role in digestion.
Everyone responds differently, so I won’t promise that lymphatic drainage will relieve bloating. My aim is simply to provide a gentle, relaxing treatment that may help you feel more comfortable in your body.
