✨Facial ritual aftercare

✨ Post-Facial Aftercare Advice

Your ritual doesn’t end when you leave the treatment room — how you care for your skin afterwards helps to prolong and enhance your glow.

🌙 What To Do • Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water to support lymphatic drainage and keep your skin plump. • Protect your skin — apply SPF daily, even if the sun feels gentle. • Be gentle — use soft cleansers and nourishing moisturisers to maintain balance. • Relax — allow yourself time to rest, breathe, and enjoy the calm your treatment has created.

✨ What To Avoid (for 24–48 hours) • Direct sun exposure, heat treatments (sauna, steam, hot yoga). • Exfoliating products, retinol, or strong active ingredients. • Heavy makeup that may clog pores. • Intense workouts that cause excessive sweating.

🌿 Extend Your Ritual • Continue your glow at home with a simple routine of cleanse, hydrate, and protect. • If you have ice globes, gua sha, or other tools, use them gently to keep energy flowing. • Breathe deeply, slow down, and treat skincare as a daily ritual of self-care.

✨ Your skin is now receptive, renewed, and radiant — honour it with care. ✨

💆Massage aftercare

Your ritual has eased tension and restored balance. To prolong these effects, follow these simple aftercare tips:

🌙 What To Do • Hydrate well — drink water or herbal tea to help flush away toxins released during massage. • Rest + relax — allow yourself time to enjoy the calm and clarity. • Keep warm — your muscles may feel looser, so protect them from cold drafts. • Be mindful — you may feel deeply relaxed or light-headed; move slowly and gently.

✨ What To Avoid (for 24 hours) • Caffeine, alcohol, or heavy meals — these can interrupt the body’s rebalancing. • Intense exercise or strenuous activity. • Hair washing immediately after (if oils were used), to allow nutrients to absorb.

Hot Stone-Specific Considerations

  1. Extra hydration – Hot stones increase blood flow and body temperature, so your body loses more fluids through sweat. Drinking extra water is especially important.
  2. Cool-down period – Avoid very cold showers or jumping into cold pools immediately after, as sudden temperature shifts can shock your muscles and skin.
  3. Watch skin sensitivity – The heat can leave your skin a little red or sensitive; avoid harsh scrubs, hot tubs, or saunas for the rest of the day.
  4. Monitor soreness – Hot stone massage can penetrate deeper into tight muscles; some soreness may appear within 24 hours. Light stretching or a warm shower can help.

Optional Enhancements

  • Warm shower instead of a hot one can help soothe any lingering sensitivity.
  • Epsom salt bath later in the day can relieve muscle soreness, but don’t soak immediately if your skin feels overly flushed.

Rare, but important:

  • Skin itching, redness, or headache
  • Nausea or dizziness These can occur hours later if the body is sensitive or detoxifying.

If that happens:

  • Gently wash oils off with a mild cleanser
  • Hydrate
  • Rest

🌿 Extend Your Ritual • Take slow breaths, and notice how light + clear your head feels. • A warm bath or herbal tea can deepen the sense of calm. • Return regularly for treatments to maintain balance + wellbeing.

✨ Honour the stillness you’ve created. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you. ✨

MICRONEEDLING AFTERCARE

Immediate Post-Treatment (First 24 Hours)

  1. Avoid touching your face – Your skin has tiny channels open, so bacteria can easily cause infection.
  2. Skip makeup and skincare products with active ingredients – No retinoids, acids (AHA/BHA), vitamin C, or exfoliants for at least 24–48 hours.
  3. Keep it clean and hydrated – Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and apply a light, soothing moisturizer or hyaluronic acid serum.
  4. Avoid heat – No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts that cause sweating.
  5. Skip sunscreen for the first few hours – After cleansing, you can apply a mineral sunscreen if you need to go outside.

Days 2–3

  • Your skin may be red, slightly swollen, or feel tight.
  • Continue with gentle cleansing and hydration.
  • You can start using a healing ointment (like Aquaphor or a dedicated post-procedure balm) if dryness or flaking occurs.
  • Avoid exfoliating products, retinoids, and chemical peels for at least 3–5 days.

Days 3–7

  • Redness and sensitivity usually subside.
  • You can reintroduce gentle skincare like low-concentration moisturizers, but avoid strong actives until day 7.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure; continue with SPF 30+ daily.
  • Don’t pick or scratch any flaking skin.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, or chlorinated water for at least 48 hours.
  • Skip facials or other procedures for a week.
  • Stay hydrated – it helps the skin heal faster.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours – it can increase redness and slow healing.

Signs requiring medical advice

  • Severe redness or swelling lasting more than 3 days.
  • Pus, yellow crusts, or pain (possible infection).
  • Hyperpigmentation or unusual scabbing.

If any of these occur, contact your dermatologist or practitioner immediately.

DERMAPLANING AFTERCARE

  4. Hydrate and soothe – Apply a gentle moisturizer or a hyaluronic acid serum.

Days 1–3

  • Avoid strong actives – No retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C, or exfoliating products.
  • Sun protection is crucial – Skin is more prone to UV damage. Use SPF 30+ daily, even indoors.
  • Avoid heat and sweat – Skip saunas, hot showers, and intense workouts that make you sweat heavily.

Days 3–7

  • Skin may peel slightly or feel dry; keep it moisturized.
  • You can slowly reintroduce gentle actives, but skip strong exfoliants for at least a week.
  • Avoid picking or scrubbing at flakes to prevent irritation or microtears.
